Of all the charities out there doing fantastic work, Melissa and Nicole, the Directors of Juv’ae, cannot help but support charities that look after children.
During the 2020/2021 financial year, Juv’ae supported the Danii Meads-Barlow Foundation, and through Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, Melissa and Nicole have sponsored six children from third-world countries. Something they have done for 12 years now.
Danii Foundation
DANII Foundation supports everyone living with DIABETES by raising awareness through various campaigns of WHAT is TYPE ONE. Founded by Donna and Brian Meads-Barlow, parents of Daniella, who fell victim to a silent killer known as Dead in Bed Syndrome in November 2011.
Our vision is for a world where people with type 1 diabetes live without the fear of never waking up.
Our mission is to lobby the government and industry to ensure the latest technologies are available and affordable for patients to alert themselves and their carers to life-threatening hypo and hyperglycemia events.
To Educate and Advocate for a Type 1 Diabetes voice.
We meet amazingly courageous and inspiring people’s professional advice every day. They happen to have Type 1 Diabetes and are hoping to live their lives without fear. The DANII Foundation is a voice for them.
Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion
As the international aid and development agency of the Australian Catholic Church, we are driven by social justice and the dignity of every person. We work with local communities in Australia and overseas, listening to concerns, assessing needs, and working with partners on locally-led development programs. With hope, support, and compassion at the core of what we do, we work towards a world where all people may thrive.
