Clinical Governance
Decision Must Answer
Clinical governance that supports safer aesthetic practice
At Juv’ae, patient safety, ethical practice and continuous improvement sit at the centre of clinical decision-making. Our Clinical Governance Committee brings together medical practitioners, experienced cosmetic nurses, educators and operational leaders to review clinical standards and support nurses, aesthetic practices and cosmetic clinics
The committee reviews policies, protocols, adverse events, audit findings, emerging risks, regulatory developments, new products and treatments. Its purpose is to turn evidence and real clinical experience into clearer guidance, stronger systems and ongoing learning.
The Clinical Governance Committee is more than a committee, it is the clinical conscience of Juv'ae.
Our five question framework
Before a significant product, treatment, protocol or emerging trend is recommended, the committee asks five questions.
These questions help keep clinical decisions focused on evidence, ethics, patient outcomes and professional responsibility not novelty or commercial opportunity alone.
Is it safe?
Does the evidence demonstrate a strong safety profile, with risks that are understood, minimised and appropriate for patient care?
Is it effective?
Does it deliver consistent, evidence-based clinical outcomes that genuinely improve patient results?
Is it compliant?
Does it align with regulatory requirements, professional standards and the clinical governance framework expected of every aesthetic practitioner?
Is it valuable?
Does it give patients meaningful value through lasting results, appropriate treatment planning and responsible investment in their care?
Is it responsible?
Is this the right decision for patients and nurses, not simply the most commercially attractive, fashionable or newest option on the market?
A culture of learning
Clinical governance is not simply a policy or a meeting. It is a continuous cycle of review, learning and improvement. By examining incidents, near misses, clinical outcomes and new evidence, the committee helps identify patterns, strengthen education and update systems as the sector evolves.
A strong safety culture doesn't look away from complications or near misses - it examines them constructively. Early escalation and transparent reporting are essential parts of safe care, not a personal failure.
"The greatest opportunity is to move from working in isolation to learning collectively."
