The Power of Availability: Why a Minimum
of Three Clinic Days Matters

Last week I shared a video on our Facebook page about the importance of opening a minimum of three days per week when starting out as a cosmetic nurse. This advice is not just based on experience—it's backed by data.

At Juv’ae, we regularly review benchmarking statistics across our network of nurses, and the results are clear. The clinicians who commit to consistent availability see stronger, faster business growth.

Benchmarking Your Growth

When building a successful cosmetic business, clear targets help guide your progress. Based on our data, these are the average weekly client numbers to aim for:

  • Year 1: 8–12 clients per week
  • Year 2: 20 clients per week
  • Year 3: 25–30 clients per week
  • Year 3 to 5:  30 to 35 per week
  • 5+ years: 40+ appointments per week

Reaching these milestones requires time in your calendar. One clinic day per week makes achieving these numbers difficult. Clinics with limited availability often struggle to fill their books, while those who operate at least two to three days per week gain momentum much faster.

Why Three Days?

Opening a minimum of three days per week:

  • Increases appointment availability
  • Improves client booking flexibility
  • Supports consistent marketing and lead generation
  • Allows you to batch appointments for efficiency
  • Creates space for business development activities

By Year 3, expanding to four days per week helps support higher client volumes and long-term growth.

 What to Consider

If you're currently open only one or two days, it’s worth reviewing how you might expand your availability. This could involve:

  • Reducing shifts in another job
  • Adjusting childcare arrangements
  • Blocking out specific clinic days to create consistency

Building a successful business requires both clinical skills and business strategy. Increasing your availability is one of the most effective ways to drive growth and meet your revenue goals.

Next Steps

Take time this week to review your schedule.
Consider what changes you can make to support a minimum three-day clinic week.

Availability is opportunity.
And opportunity is what builds a thriving cosmetic business.
